Our Oriental Basma tobacco is a fragrant but sweet aromatic. Grown in Greece, these small leaves deliver the perfect balance of aroma and spice. Generally, our Basma Tobacco consists of yellow or golden leaves with a heavy body and a high oil content. Surprisingly small, Greek farmers harvest these leaves one at a time, hang them on suspended strings like clotheslines, and cure them in the sun. This labor-intensive process yields a leaf that is very important to the American market. Since the early 20th century, aromatic tobacco has been a necessary complement to the flavors of Virginia Flue-Cured and Burley tobaccos.

Wonderful blending component to make a highly enjoyable, smooth, and satisfying cigarette. I’m beyond pleased, this is the best sun cured tobacco I’ve ever tried, I did not expect Basma to be so good!
