Our Virginia Light Fire Cured Wrapper is one of our stronger smelling tobaccos due to the fire curing process. This dark fire-cured tobacco is an exceptionally dark leaf, well suited to many different uses. These leaves are grown in Virginia and cured using a traditional fire curing process. Generally, the fire curing process involves hanging plants in enclosed barns in which intermittent smoldering fires are lit in order to give the leaves their immediately recognizable flavor.
Our Virginia Light Fire Cured Wrapper is also frequently used as a binder or filler. Looking for a fire cured leaf with an extra punch? Check out our Tennessee / Kentucky Dark Fire Cured LO Solid Leaf.
As with all of our retail sales, these leaves are unbound and separated from each other. If you'd prefer your order to be untouched and bound together in 'hands' by the farmer, we're happy to accommodate you. Just let us know. Large and wholesale orders are shipped in bound 'hands' of tobacco.
