Tucked away in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, there are still a few places where time seems to stand still. Our Virginia Flue Cured (BFL) comes from one such place—a small family farm where the "old-fashioned way" isn't just a catchphrase; it’s a way of life. For generations, this family has passed down traditional agricultural practices, eschewing modern shortcuts in favor of the time-honored methods that made Virginia tobacco world-famous.

The (BFL) notation signifies that these leaves are harvested from the top half of the plant. Known as "leaf-grade" tobacco, these upper leaves spend more time basking in the Virginia sun, resulting in a higher oil content and a more robust, complex flavor profile than leaves found lower on the stalk.

The visual appeal of this tobacco is as striking as its heritage. The colors are a vibrant tapestry, ranging from brilliant, electric yellows to deep, rich oranges. When you open a bag of our BFL, you are greeted with the classic, seductive aroma of premium Virginia tobacco—sweet, hay-like, and naturally fragrant.

Like all of our offerings at Total Leaf Supply, this Virginia Flue Cured (BFL) has never been altered or enhanced. It is flue-cured in traditional closed barns using carefully regulated heat to lock in the leaf’s natural sugars and golden hues.

Whether you are looking for a stand-alone smoke with deep character or a high-quality base for your own custom blends, the Virginia Flue Cured (BFL) offers a taste of history and the unmistakable quality of heritage farming.

Long time pipe smoker here but always favoring the Virginia’s, and in my quest to seek out and try different vendors, I accidentally came across this website. I was enamored by the varieties of Virginia tobacco leaves that they had in stock and so I pretty much ordered a sampling of each. The transaction was flawless, and the shipping was extremely fast to Western Massachusetts.
My first sampling was of their lemon, which I will leave a review under that particular tobacco but this one here as a stand alone smoke absolutely blew my mind. I am not really one for blending different varieties and definitely not needed here as this is an absolute extremely smooth and complex smoke all on its own. I can see this as becoming my favorite and like the description says, very hard to put down.
