Our Ecuadorian Sumatra Wrapper tobacco is a deliciously thin leaf with earthy undertones and a warm chocolate-brown color. As in most leaves of this type, veins are thin and well spaced. Most folks are familiar with a Connecticut Shade Wrapper. This leaf is very similar. In fact, modern-day Connecticut shade wrapper tobacco is grown from the same Sumatra seed as our Ecuadorian Sumatra Wrapper tobacco. Due to the thin veins, this is an excellent fronto choice for wrapping.
In comparison to our Glasgow Magistrate Wrapper, our Blind Monkey Wrapper or our Picaroon Wrapper, this leaf is much thinner and somewhat smaller, but you'll get many more leaves per pound.
As with all of our retail sales, these leaves are unbound and separated from each other. If you'd prefer your order to be untouched and bound together in 'hands' by the farmer, we're happy to accommodate you. Just let us know. Large and wholesale orders are shipped in bound 'hands' of tobacco.
