Our Tennessee / Kentucky Dark Fire Cured Binder Tobacco has a traditional dark fire cured tobacco aroma that is balanced by a lingering sweetness. Think about all the ingredients that make up thick, tomato based BBQ sauce, and you'll have a pretty good idea how this leaf smells. Because this leaf is packed in 'hands', it's much easier to work with than the Tennessee/Kentucky Dark Fire Cured Solid Leaf. Â Compared to our Virginia Light Fire Cured Wrapper, this TN/KY Dark Fire Cured Tobacco is slightly darker with a stronger, sweeter aroma.
Farmers rarely produce this leaf in a binder grade, so don't miss out on this exciting offering!
This dark fire-cured tobacco is an exceptionally dark leaf, well suited to many different uses. These leaves are grown in Tennessee and Kentucky and cured using a traditional fire curing process. Generally, the fire curing process involves hanging plants in enclosed barns in which intermittent smoldering fires are lit in order to give the leaves their immediately recognizable flavor.
As with all of our retail sales, these leaves are unbound and separated from each other.
